OHMVR Grant Program (G22)

The Los Padres Forest Association has applied for funding to complete projects in the Santa Lucia and Mt. Pinos Ranger Districts. All projects support the OHV program within the Los Padres National Forest. The opportunity for public review and comment is now open. Please select "Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program - 2022" and search for Los Padres Forest Association to access preliminary applications. Thank you. 

 

Santa Lucia Ranger District

The proposed project will include trail maintenance of up to 7 miles of the Bear Canyon and Buckhorn Ridge motorized trails to reduce the potential for erosion and sediment delivery. The proposed actions will reduce the potential for resource damage to erosion and help maintain a sustainable OHV trail system.

 

Mt. Pinos Ranger District

Construct new width limiters to replace vandalized ones: Junction of Halfmoon/Piru Crk Trails and East Frazier Trail (east end) Repair/replace existing barrier to identify correct route for users to travel: Lockwood Creek Road; Tejon Trail (east end) and East Frazier Trail (east end)
Repair/replace lock boxes on MVUM Seasonal Closure gates to prevent lock vandalism during winter: Alamo Mtn at Piru Crossing, Goldhill Road, Grade Valley, Lockwood Creek (2 gates), Miller Jeep (top of Alamo), Scott Russell, East Tecuya, West Tecuya and West Frazier Mine (2 gates)
