The Condor Trail is a 400-mile route that traverses the Los Padres National Forest from Lake Piru in Ventura County to Bottcher's Gap in Monterey County. The route combines trails, roads, cattle paths and off-trail sections to highlight some of the best (and challenging) country the Los Padres has to offer. LPFA will be hosting a presentation by Addison Jerlow and Brian Sarvis followed by a Q&A with the presenters.
Addison Jerlow set the Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the Condor Trail in March 2025. He will be sharing photos and stories from his 22-day journey, as well as suggestions on gear and logistics for those hoping to hike some or all of the Condor Trail. Brian Sarvis has thru-hiked the Condor Trail once in each direction, as well as completed numerous section hikes to research and write his definitive book on the matter, the Condor Trail Guide. He will be talking about the route and its history.
All ticket sales and donations from this event will fund trail maintenance on the Condor Trail! Funds raised will be used to work the Piedra Blanca Trail and Reyes Peak Trail, a section of the Condor Trail in Ventura County that climbs from Sespe Creek up to Pine Mountain. Please consider donating to fund trail maintenance on the Condor Trail!
